So, if you are a basketball fan you know that the Heat is going to go up against the Nuggets, if you do not that is okay. Anyway, I personally am hoping that the Nuggets win but if you are a Heat fan that is okay. Anyway here is the scoop on the Heat then the Heat. MIAMI HEAT: The Heat had a rough start being in the No. 8 seed (the worst seed in the playoffs) so they had to play the Bucks first round (No. 1 seed) and in the first game one of their stars Tyler Herro broke his hand and had to be out for a while. It looked like the Bucks were going to beat the Heat when Jimmy Butler showed up. He made Miami Heat history by scoring 56 points! And in game 5 Heat ahead 3-1 the Heat came back from a 16-point deficit and won in overtime! They won the series 4-1! After that they played the knicks and won 4-2! They played the Celtics in the conference Finals and started winning 2 in Boston and then won a home game in Miami. They were ahead in the series 3-0! Suddenly the Celtics won 3 games in a row and tied the series! The heat then destroyed the Celtics in game 7 and won the series 4-3 now they are playing the Nuggets in the Finals! The Nuggets on the other had broken the Lakers winning streak in a game where they beat them my dad and I were in the car when we heard about them. So, so far, the Nuggets have beat the Timber Wolves, the Suns, and finally to break their winning streak at home, The Lakers. And I am super excited, and I hope the Nuggets win the playoffs because this would be the first time in the history of the Nuggets, that they win the Playoffs. So, to wrap up I hope the nuggets win and I hope you (the reader.) enjoy this. 😊 Peace!!! by Theo Hanson A slam dunk, also just known as dunk, is a type of basketball shot that is made when a player jumps in the air, controls the ball above the rim, and scores by shoving the ball directly through the basket with one or both hands. It is a type of field goal that counts for two points. This shot was known as a "dunk shot" until the term "slam dunk" was said by former Los Angeles announcer Chuck Hearn (RIP).
The dunk is usually the most fun shot to watch, a player flies I the air and then they slam the ball down into the hoop. The slam dunk contest is held every year from February 17th-19th. The best years of this contest have been 1986, 1988, 2000, 2008, and 2016. In 1986 there was really only one person likely to win, Dominique Wilkins, but he didn’t win. Spud Webb was a 5’6” point guard on Dominique’s team. In 1988 Michael Jordan won on a dunk from the free throw line. In 2000 Vince Carter won on a between the legs slam dunk. In 2008 Dwight Howard won on a crazy dunk. And in 2016 Zack LaVine and Aaron Gordon had a tremendous battle of between the leg dunks, behind the back dunks, and Aaron Gordan even was able to pull off a dunk over the mascots’ head. I hope you liked my story about dunking. Jamal Murray is an amazing basketball player! This post is all about him! When Jamal Murray was a kid, he practiced basketball so much that his dad had to take the ball away so that he could get rest. When he was 7 years old, he had to make 30 free throws in a row! And he made all of them! Now he is the best free throw shooter on his team! He got drafted in 2016 and was the seventh pick for the Denver Nuggets, in college he played for the Kentucky Wildcats, he averaged 20 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists in college, once after a three-point shot, he shot his teammate with a pretend arrow, he then got the nickname “blue arrow” Jamal Murray is the only player that has gotten 50+ points, 80+ field goal percentage and 8+ three pointers in a game. That game he also attempted 0 free throws! On April 12th, 2020, Jamal Murray tore his ACL knee, he couldn’t play for almost 2 years! When he finally could play again, he wasn’t quite the same as before, he couldn’t play as well as before, one day he even asked his coach, Micheal Malone if he was going to be traded. He averaged way less points than before. One night in Portland against the Blazers, Jamal Murray played bad the first half of the game, but in the 4th quarter, unfortunately for the Blazers, Jamal Murray woke up, he made a comeback for the Nuggets, and when the time came for the biggest shot for the night, for the first time Jamal Murray looked like himself as he hit the game winning 3 pointer. by Elliott Dickerson-Lange You must be 10 feet [3.048 meters] away from the ball when a penalty is being taken you might have noticed none of the other players are not in the goal box or the semi-circle. So, in conclusion it is for showing exactly how far ten feet and that is how far away the penalty spot. But as soon as the ball ⚽ is kicked the players can run and try to kick it in to the goal if it hits the crossbar, post, or the goal keeper hits it away, or the defense can try to get it out of the danger zone. And it is not an extension to the goal box so don’t use your hands in it, if you do the referee will award you with a red card.
