Continued from Purple Wold, Part 3 “Alright we're here.” I spoke. We got off our motorcycles and walked towards the lab. When we made it, we entered and looked around. “Wait so what are we looking for?” asked Lila. “I don’t know.” I spoke. “Common we should go inside the room your dad went into.” Lila said. As we walked towards the door it got colder each step. I shivered scared to enter. When we had made it to the door Lila and Axel both got behind me, I took that as a sign that I should open the door. I took a deep breath and swallowed. Ok I thought here goes nothing. I slowly opened the door that creaked scaring the light out of me. When I opened the door just a bit more, I whispered that we should just try and fit though the crack. I wasn’t scared of opening the door I was just scared because of the creaking noise. Ok fine it’s the same. As we walked in, the room was cold. Many doors everywhere we look the doors were made from metal and had a tiny glass rectangle shape on the top of the door to see through. But the doors all had a 6-digit number to unlock the door. We all split up to look around. In front of me was a huge glass that could possibly hold 50 people. The box was broken as if something escaped. I decided to enter the box. Inside there was a chain connected to the ground to hold a neck, but it was broken into pieces as I looked around, I noticed a scratch on the box. I paused and started to think. I grabbed my notebook that I had grabbed before leaving and started to put everything I have so far together. I grabbed my pencil and wrote at the top NOTES and on the bottom of it I wrote the date. NOTES 4/24/2087 1. Huge box that could possibly have been a for an animal. 2. Claw markers from an animal but what animal? (unknown) 3. Box is broken. The animal probably ran towards the side of the box and crashed into it making its escape leaving glass everywhere. 4. The shape of the size of the animal that escaped seems skinny and long because of the shape it left through the glass. After I finished taking notes, I notice a little tiny vent on top of a door to my right. “Hey guys look!” I exclaim pointing to the vent. As they come over, I tell them to stand right under the vent. And give me a boost. “Dude you're heavy!” said Axel as he was helping giving me a boost. I rolled my eyes as I was trying to look through the vent. As I squinted my eyes, I saw a room that had the same glass box, but it was not broken. Before I knew it there was brown fur with black zoomed by inside the box. I quickly jumped down. “What’s wrong?” asked Axel. “There is something in there an animal I think.” I spoke. Lila and Axel looked at each other. We all then heard the door to the lab open. “It’s my dad!” I whispered as I crouched down. “Alright time to get the blood.” Said my dad as my he was walking through the door to the room that we were in. As his footsteps landed every time my heart grew thumping faster and faster. I prayed he wouldn’t see us. I prayed and prayed. My dad went to the door and unlocked it when he opened, I heard growling I look to my friends they had scared looks on their face. “We should go now.” I whispered to them. They nodded their heads in agreement we got up and started sneaking to the exit. I forgot about the glass and then accidentally step on one piece it broke leaving a huge sound. I turned towards my friends. “WHO’S THERE!?” My dad yelled We stayed silent “ANSWER ME OR ELSE YOUR DONE FOR!” He said, “I HAVE A GUN SO YOU BETTER COME OUT!” I could here he was approaching the door very slowly. I turned to my friends. “Run.” I spoke. We got up and sprinted for our lives as if we were getting chased by 1million mosquitos. Gun shots from the back loud ones my dad was shooting. “Dang it.” I heard Axel say but I didn’t look back I was only focused on getting out. “GO!” I heard my dad say in the back but what was he talking about? I didn’t know. When we made it out, we hid behind a tree catching our breath. “Are you guys, okay?” I asked Lila nodded saying yes. “What about you Axel?” asked Lila. He was down on the ground holding his left arm. “Axel?” Lila asked her voice sounded worried she knew something was wrong she went down to become face to face with him. She went for his hand and grabbed it lifting it up. His arm was bleeding. “AXEL!” Lila exclaimed. “I got shot.” Axel said about to cry but holding his tears back. “Let’s go to my secret base quick!” I spoke. We all started running towards the motorcycles until…. “GRRRRRR” “What was that!” yelled Axel. We turned back to check there was a big black wolf my dad was on it. It was dark so he couldn’t see our faces. “Quick put on your hood and takes these masks I have some in my pocket. We all started running again. “ATTAK!” My dad yelled the wolf started charging at us. “Duck!” Lila yelled. We all did as she said. We looked up and the wolf was gliding in the air. When it landed it was faced towards us “RUN!” I yelled. We went the other way running. “Ahh!” Lila yelled she tripped on a rock. “LILA!” Yelled Axel running back towards her I did as well. We helped her up until the wolf grabbed her from the back of her shirt “LET HER GO!” yelled axel jumping on my dad punching him so hard (with his not shot arm) he got a bloody nose. I wanted to stop him, but he deserved it. I then grabbed Lila’s hand and tried pulling her, but the wolf wouldn’t let go. “Tell the wolf to let her go!” yelled axel “Or else ill punch you so hard you won’t be able to see.” “RELEASE!” my dad yelled. The wolf dropped Lila right into my arms. “COMMON LET’S GO!” I yelled to Axel. He nodded and came as we dashed away to the motorcycles. “DON’T YOU EVER COME BACK!” my dad yelled. We got on the motorcycles and left to my secret base.

Once upon a time there was an old man named Devin. He was walking down the street when he saw brown old boots. He said, “what cool boots. They look beautiful on my feet.” He did have beaten up old sneakers on his feet. Why shouldn’t I give these beauty’s a try? He thought. So, the old man took away the boots and walked happily. Meanwhile at Devin’s cabin he tried on the unknown boots he found around the street. They fit perfectly. Devin smiled. These boots felt so soft. Devin went for a little walk on the street. Everyone stared at Devin’s boots. Everyone oohed and wowed. Everyone thinks Devin looked cool. All the men were jealous out there. It felt good to make people think you were cool, right? Devin walked back home and saw a man who looked young and said, “You know friends and family are more important than just presents.” Devin rolled his eyes. “And popularity doesn’t matter.” The young man added. “See if I care.” Devin said arrogantly and walked away with confidence. Are these boots changing him? This is terrifying news! The next day Devin comes out and everyone start staring at his feet again as usual, ugh. A lot of people are just jealous! Devin decides to rest for the day and upgrade his new shoes. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Devin answered the door. It was the mail man! Devin received the box he got from delivery and squeezed the door shut. It seemed to be that somebody sent food for charity. There were muffins, salad and a few boxes of steak. That was nice. Devin is a poor man. TO BE CONTINUED…. By Cattelaya Kramer
Continued from The Purple Wolf, Part 2 “Coming!” yelled my dad. As we knocked on the door. He opened the door and said, “Oh hey Axel and Lila nice to see you two.” “Me and my friends are just going to hang in my room for a bit,” I spoke. “Alright. Don’t forget I will be leaving soon for my work. Eric says it’s a surprise,” said my dad. “Hopefully it’s a good one,” said Axel as we walked in. Then me and my friends went right to my room, and I told them the plan. “Ok so when my dad leaves, we follow him,” I announced. “But how will we catch up to him?” Lila asked. “Isn’t he driving his car?” “Oh, yes, he is, but I have something better: a motorcycle,” I spoke. “Umm... what?” asked Axel. “How do you have a motorcycle?” “Come,” I said with a smirk on my face. When we made it to the garage, my dad was already getting ready to leave. “Come we have to hurry. My dad is already getting ready,” I whispered. We quietly tip toed over to the garage and opened the door. And shut it behind us. “Ok, so, where is your motorcycle?” asked Lila. “Over here,” I said and winked. I pulled the covers off my motorcycle in the corner. “Wow!” exclaimed Axel. My motorcycle was red and black. I had another one, as well. It was the same color. I told my friends that they could take one motorcycle and I would take the other since they have auto-drive so can take us wherever we want. After we agreed, we just sat in the living room and watched TV, waiting for my dad to leave. We then all looked over the couch because we heard key sounds. “Alright I’m leaving guys. I’ll be back in a bit. have fun!” my dad yelled. “See you later,” I spoke. After he left, I leaped over the couch and spoke. “Alright, let’s go.” We all ran over to the garage and got on the motorcycles and chased after him. After driving for hours my dad stopped his car in a mysterious forest. I knew this was not his way to work. This was something way different. We all decided to move back a little, so he wouldn't spot us. We hid the motorcycles behind a bush and watched my dad. He got out of his car and started to walk deeper into the forest. We all started to follow him into the forest. We almost got caught because what we were stepping on were bones. As we were following my dad, he stopped in front of a huge lab. He then entered and disappeared. “This does not seem natural one bit,” said Axel. We all went over to the entrance and looked through the windows. My dad was writing something... but what? He then went into a room. We all decided that we had time to go inside before he came back. So, we all went to the door and entered. “Let’s split up so we can see what your dad's up to,” said Axel. We all went different directions in search for suspicious things. After looking for half an hour, I saw a little piece of paper. As I went over to it, I noticed it was the same piece of paper my dad was writing on. I felt a chill running down my spine I knew this wasn’t good. I started to read... Experiment 304 has gone out of control, around 10:35 pm. It escaped growling and attacking, fighting for freedom. We all got our lasers out, ready to fire. But something was wrong. Its fear in its eyes stopped us from firing at it. But what a joke, it was fake. Its fear was all a joke. It was just waiting to attack. Before we knew, it jumped and slashed its claws right into Eric, leaving his body done for. I ran, leaving him for dead while the others tried to fight but lost. I am now in search for new people to help capture this monster. I still need its DNA for a special experiment. For power. “What in the world?” I spoke, astonished. “Guys! I yelled come over here!” “What’s wrong?” asked Lila. “Look,” I told them. Axel then started to read, and they both looked up at me surprised. “Something's not right.” Axel said. CRASH! We all turned around and looked at each other, scared. “What was that?” asked Lila. “I don’t know,” responded Axel. “Come on, follow me,” I spoke. They both looked surprised but shrugged. We quietly snuck over to the door where the noise was coming from. “Should we open it?” asked Axel. “Well, do you want to see what’s going on in there?” I asked. “Well, yeah.” responded Axel. “Well, there’s your answer,” I spoke. As I opened the door, I saw that the room was a library filled with books. Axel just shoved his way through and started to read. “Guys, look!” exclaimed Axel as he pointed and showed us a picture in the book he was looking at. It was a purple wolf in a glass box with a title printed in big and bold letters: EXPERIMENT 304 We all knew at that moment that the purple wolf in that photo was the same animal that my dad was writing about. We all decided that we should leave before my dad found us. As we were leaving, I grabbed the piece of paper my dad was writing on. As we were walking, we suddenly heard a strange noise coming from behind a tree. But we kept walking. We didn’t want anything to stop us. “GRRR!” “W-What was that sound?” asked Lila, scared for her life. “I don’t know,” I responded trying to listen for the sound. We all started to walk faster until we hit the point where we knew we had to run. We all got on our bikes and drove so fast that we probably went over the speed limit. When we made it back home, we all ran straight up to my room and locked the door, even though we were the only people in the house. “What the was that sound?!” exclaimed Axel. “I don’t know!” responded Lila. “Was it the purple wolf?!” exclaimed Lila. “GUYS JUST SHUT UP!” I yelled. “I know you both have a lot of questions. I do, too, but please be quiet. I’m trying to think of all of the answers that are possible.” “Sorry,” said Lila. “Yeah, bro, I’m sorry too. It’s just that I’ve never experienced this before,” said Axel. “Neither have we,” I spoke. We all calmed ourselves down and talked about whether we should go back tomorrow. We all agreed and planned everything out. “I’m home!” yelled my dad. We all rushed downstairs and settled ourselves down at the dining table for some nice curry with chicken soup on the side. Whenever my friends come, they always stay for dinner because my dad is a professional cook. As always, they complimented my dad’s cooking on how good it was. When they finished, they left and me and my dad just went to sleep. I rustled around in my bed I couldn’t fall asleep. I was so curious why my dad never told me or my mom about his lab or experiment. Was it too dangerous? I got out of my bed and snatched my phone and texted my friends. “Are you guys still awake?” I texted. After like centuries, Lila texted that she was still awake and that she couldn’t sleep because of what happened tonight and how she had a 30-minute talk with her mom about how she didn’t go to soccer practice. A couple minutes later Axel texted that we should all just meet at the park right now and just go to the lab if we all c an’t fall asleep. We all agreed. I got out of bed and got dressed. I grabbed my backpack and a flashlight and a couple of water bottles and snacks down from the cabinets downstairs in the kitchen. And before I left, I grabbed the sharpest knife, because you never know what will happen. I then went into the garage and grabbed the motorcycles and I really struggled because I had to hold the other motorcycle while driving one. When I made it to the park my friends were already there, ready to go. We all got on the motorcycles and set off for the lab. To be continued... By Cattelaya Kramer
Continued from The Purple Wolf, Part 1 “Would you like some hot cocoa?” Mrs. Willer asked, “Yes, please.” I responded. As Mrs. Willer walked towards the kitchen, I noticed some light coming through the window like a car light! “Dad!” I yelled in astonishment. Mrs. Willer came Running out of the kitchen she had a knife. “Uhm. Mrs. Willer there is no problem. I am safe. It’s just that I think that my dad is here,” I said excited. “Oh,” she said as she set down the knife on the coffee table. I walked towards the door and walked out. My dad was there unlocking the door. I quickly ran towards him and hugged him tight. “Oh, hey bud,” he spoke. “Hey, what took you so long to come home?” I asked. He paused. “Well, um, you know my boss Eric wanted to keep me in late. I had some unfinished business that had to be done before tomorrow," he responded. “Oh well ok,” I said when we walked in. We had dinner, but barely spoke to each other. We said goodnight and went to our rooms. I have noticed that my dad has been acting not natural after mom died. He was very heart broken. I couldn’t fall asleep. I stayed up all night thinking about what my dad had said. He acted as if he wasn’t telling the truth. I couldn’t fall for it. I had to figure out what was up with dad. I woke up bright and early and jumped right out of bed. But foolishly fell on the ground, my legs feeling like noodles. I got dressed and texted my friends, Lila and Axel. “Hey guys can we meet at the park right now?” I texted. “I can,” texted Axel. “Me as well,” texted Lila. “Great. I’m on my way right now see you guys there,” I texted When I got to the park, I saw my friends Lila and Axel. They are the only ones who believe me that those mythical animals are not real. But now I believe them, but I don’t want to tell them. Axel has dirty blonde hair and light blue eyes and gets a ton of scars and cuts on his face because he gets bullied and does a ton of crazy things. Lila has purple dark hair, but her real hair color is brown she always changes it. She loves makeup as well and never goes anywhere without it and all ways wear it. I have light green and blue eyes. And light blonde and brown hair. “Alright were here. What's the problem?” said Lila putting on makeup while looking through her mirror. “Lila! Don’t be rude,” said Axel. Lila just rolled her eyes. “Sorry. On our way, her mom texted that she has soccer practice," explained Axel. “She doesn’t want to go because she says her makeup will get ruined,’’ Axel said rolling his eyes. “Duh! It took me like an hour do this no way am I getting it ruined,” groaned Lila. “Anyhow my dad has been acting weird the past days,” I spoke. “Maybe he’s just depressed. Your mom did die 4 months ago,” said Lila “No, but like really weird he came home past 12am,” I explained. “Oh, that’s really weird,” spoke Axel. “So, I was thinking maybe we could follow my dad to see where he goes,” I told them. ‘I’m in. Anything to get me out of doing soccer today,” said Lila excited. “Me, too,” said Axel. We all put our hand in the center and counted. “1,” I said. “2,” Axel said. “3,” Lila said. “OPERATION DAD!” we all yelled as we launched our arms in the air and started our mission to find out what suspicious things dad is doing.
