I sat in my classroom bored to death. My teacher Ms. Lauren was talking about mythical creatures which made me think she was crazy. Everyone in my class believes her though. Whenever I tell my classmates that she’s just trying to play mind games with us they tell me that I’m the crazy one, which isn’t true. “Okay class today I'll be showing you some real pictures of mythical creatures because some people don’t believe me.” She shot a quick look at me so did the class. I slumped down in my chair in embarrassment. Ms. Lauren got up from her chair and grabbed her remote she then turned on the big screen. The class got up surprised even me. The screen showed a purple wolf lying in a tree. It had cool designs on its wrist and its butt. It also had tiny dots on its tail. Everyone started whispering to each other. The bell then rang making everyone stop whispering and left. I was the only student left in the classroom. “Are you going to sit there or what?” asked Ms. Lauren. I quickly got up “Sorry!” I exclaimed. I got up from my seat and ran out the door. On my way home I kept thinking about the mythical wolf. Then I thought what if it wasn’t real! What if it was just a fake picture? I figured that when I get home I would go right up to my room and search it up. When I made it home, I noticed my dad’s car wasn’t parked in the spot it usually is parked. But I ignored it. I went to my front door it was locked. “Lucky me the door is locked just as I wished,” I said sarcastically. I walked around my house to see if I could find a window or sliding door is open or unlocked, I saw that my bathroom window was opened but it was on my second floor. I looked around to see if anything could help me get to the window, but I saw nothing I walked over to a tree stump and sat on it. I sighed. I just would have to wait for my dad to come home. Hours had passed. I looked at my phone. Wait, my PHONE. I had totally forgot my phone had been in my pocket the whole entire time. I quickly called my dad. he didn’t answer. I started to worry. He always answers when I call him. I didn’t want to waste my battery because it was only at 21% and I wanted to be prepared just in case my dad doesn’t come home tomorrow or ever. It was already 12pm and my dad still had not came home. I saw my neighbor’s car pull up to their garage I quickly snatched my backpack and ran to their car. When I made it to their car window, they opened their door I stepped back. “What are you doing here Noah?” asked Ms. Willer. “My dad hasn’t come home in hours and my door is locked,” I responded. “Oh dear, Would You like me to call your father?” Ms. Willer asked. “No, I already did. He didn’t pick up.” I said. ”Well do you want to stay with me until your dad calls or come’s?” Ms. Willer asked. “Sure,” I said. She led me to her front door and unlocked the door. Before entering in I took a quick glance back at my home. “I hope dad is ok.” I said quietly. To be continued
